In spring 2020, COVID-19 hit and the world suddenly shut down. In Canada, government issued lockdowns forced all non-essential businesses to close and people were forced to stay at home.
People felt trapped, separated from their communities and unable to live their lives. Many took to social media to express this collective anxiety in strange ways. Egale Canada, a leading LGBTQI2S advocacy organization, wanted to use this time to create a dialogue about LGBTQ12S issues.
